The on farm activities include bird watching through the orchards and along the river. If you are feeling hungry ,pick some fresh citrus in season right off the tree. Watch the cows being milked and perhaps help the calves to be fed. Do not go near the bull ! There is a large swimming pool that is great in summer. The best however, is to just enjoy our quiet space and relax.
Outside activities include great golfing, some of the best mountain walks in the Cape or a visit to the Bontebok National Park which the farm adjoins. One can in a day trip visit the whales at De Hoop or taste some of the best vines in the Overberg region. If you like mountain passes the beautiful Tradow Pass and Karroo town of Barrydale is on our doorstep.
The Swellendam area is proud of its local museum with displays the early Dutch settlers history. Swellendam is the third oldest town in South Africa and has some of the best preserved Dutch architecture in the country. The main house on the farm Rotterdam is a National Monument.
