THINGS TO DO

There are much to offer visitors: 

Farm walks through the orchards down to the Buffelsjagsriver are a firm favourite.  Forest meanders in the woods near Swellendam are also a much enjoyed outing.  Other attractions include Marloth Park or the Bontebok National Park. 

Grootvadersbosch Forest offers mountain biking trails for more energetic guests.

Other interests include whale-watching at Witsand or a visit to the Pont on the Breede river.   For wine lovers there are many tasting opportunities in nearby Bonnievale and Robertson.

History enthusiasts can visit the local Museum, The Drosdy, in Swellendam and we recommend a trip to some of the beautiful mountain passes in our Karoo region.
